Karen Anderson
Managing Director
Karen Anderson returned to The Hamilton Project as Managing Director in 2010 after serving as Chief of Staff for the President’s Council of Economic Advisers. She joined the Project in 2006 and left in November 2008 to join the Obama transition team, working with CEA-Chair designee Christina Romer. Anderson previously served as a Vice President of State and Local Government Relations for Citigroup in Washington, DC and as Senior Policy Advisor for the law firm of McKenna Long & Aldridge. During the Clinton Administration, Anderson served as Coordinator for the eastern region in the White House Office of Political Affairs, where she helped organize political outreach for a 19-state region. Anderson holds Master's Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in Economics from Agnes Scott College.
