Suzanne Nora Johnson

Former Vice Chairman, Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Suzanne Nora Johnson is the retired Vice Chairman of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., Chairman of the Global Markets Institute, and head of the Global Investment Research Division. Nora Johnson earned her JD from Harvard Law School and her BA from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining the firm, she was an attorney with Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett and worked as a law clerk on the US Court of Appeals. She was elected to the Brookings Board of Trustees in 2005.

Nora Johnson currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American International
Group, Inc., Intuit Inc., Pfizer Inc., and Visa, Inc. and the following nonprofit boards: the American Red Cross, the Carnegie Institution of Washington, Markle Foundation, RAND Health, TechnoServe, the University of Southern California, and Women’s World Banking.

She also serves on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Systemic Financial Risk.
