Paige Shevlin

Director of Policy and National Initiatives, Markle Foundation

Paige Shevlin is the Director of Policy and National Initiatives at the Markle Foundation and the former Associate Policy Director at The Hamilton Project. Prior to her role at Markle, she was the Economic Development Policy Advisor to the King County Executive in Seattle, Washington. Before that, Paige held multiple roles in the Obama Administration. She was the Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the White House National Economic Council where she responsible for leading the development of labor market policies including the Vice-President’s job-driven training efforts and regulations implementing federal workforce legislation. She previously served as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Labor in the Office of the Chief Economist at the Department of Labor. Earlier, she was a Production Editor and Research Assistant at The Hamilton Project. Shevlin has also worked as an Assistant Analyst at the Congressional Budget Office. She holds a Master’s in Public Affairs in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University and a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College.
