Allen Thorpe retired from Hellman & Friedman LLC in 2025 after leading there for 26 years. He was a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee, led it’s New York Office and investing activities in Healthcare and Financial Services.
Today he runs a family investment firm, Pipedream Capital. He serves as Lead Independent Director of Claritev (CTEV) and serves as Board Chair for Zeta Charter Schools, a member of the Board of Overseers for the NYU Langone Health, and a member of the Leadership Council of Robin Hood.
Allen graduated with distinction from Stanford University, where he was a Gardner Fellow and Truman Scholar and earned a master’s in business administration from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
