Eric is a private investor based in New York City, affiliated with SSW Partners and 76 West Holdings. His professional focus is the financial services industry, and he owns or has owned significant stakes in and served on the board of many private and public companies, headquartered in the US, Europe and Japan. He is also the principal owner of the professional basketball team in Paris, France.
Earlier in his career Eric served for several years on the Management Committee of Goldman Sachs, where over time he was Co-CEO of both of the Global Equities and Investment Management Divisions, and earlier was a partner in the Equity Capital Markets unit of the Investment Banking Division. At the time of his departure in June 2007 he was also co-head of the Firm’s Partnership Committee, tasked with supervising the process of promoting new partners of the firm around the world.
Eric has been involved in several philanthropic endeavors, and among others serves as Chairman of City Harvest, the largest food rescue and redistribution non-profit in the country. He also serves on the executive committee of UJA-Federation of New York, and on the boards of the Guggenheim Foundation and the Jewish Community Center in Krakow, Poland.
Eric graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BSE (summa cum laude) and MBA in 1984 and 1985, respectively. He lives in New York with his wife Erica.
