Joshua Easterly is a co-founder and partner emeritus of Sixth Street Partners, an asset management firm with more than $125 billion in assets under management. Prior to announcing his retirement in March 2026, he served as co-president and co-chief investment officer. In addition to his firmwide roles, Joshua served as chief executive officer of the firm’s public registered private credit vehicles, Sixth Street Specialty Lending (NYSE: TSLX) and Sixth Street Lending Partners. Prior to Sixth Street, Joshua was a managing director in the largest proprietary investment group at Goldman Sachs, where he served as chief investment officer of the Americas Special Situations Group (AmSSG). He also served as head of principal investing and co-head of the Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group, and earlier as co-head of AmSSG asset investing and co-head of AmSSG private equity. Before Goldman Sachs, Joshua held senior roles in Wells Fargo’s commercial finance business. He also served on numerous non-profit boards including most recently on the Harlem Academy board of trustees.
Joshua grew up in Fresno, California, and graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
