Mark T. Gallogly
Managing Principal, Centerbridge Partners
Mark co-founded Centerbridge Partners in October 2005 with Jeffrey H. Aronson. Together, they oversee and have ultimate responsibility for the Firm’s investment activities and serve as members of the Management Committee.
Throughout his 30-year career in investing and finance, Mark has been involved in a broad spectrum of industries, businesses and investment cycles. Prior to co-founding Centerbridge, Mark was with The Blackstone Group L.P. for 16 years, most recently as a Senior Managing Director, the head of private equity, and a member of that firm’s management and investment committees.
He served on President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness from 2010 to 2012, and on the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board from 2008 to 2010.
Mark currently serves on the Columbia Business School Board of Overseers and as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Columbia University. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Economic Club of New York, as well as the Advisory Council of the Hamilton Project, an economic policy group at the Brookings Institution. He is a partner of the Partnership for New York City and member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
