Sophie Collyer is a Research Director at the Center on Poverty and Social Policy at Columbia University where she works closely with data from the Robin Hood Poverty Tracker to assess the dynamics of poverty and disadvantage in New York City. Her current work focuses on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on New Yorkers’ well-being and economic security. She also evaluates anti-poverty policies at the national and local level, with a particular interest in federal and local minimum wage policy and the child tax credit. Collyer holds a dual-degree (MPA/MSW) in Social Policy and Economic Analysis from Columbia.
