Tara Watson

Tara Watson is associate professor of economics and chair of the Program in Public Health at Williams College, where she has taught since 2004. She is an applied microeconomist focusing on U.S. social policy including immigration, health, and the safety net. Watson was a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar in Health Policy Research from 2007 to 2009, a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston from 2011 to 2012, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Microeconomic Analysis in the U.S. Treasury department from August 2015 through November 2016. She earned her PhD in Economics from Harvard University in 2003.
