On May 1, The Hamilton Project hosted a forum at the National Press Club in Washington, DC focusing on the social and economic consequences of crime and incarceration in the United States. Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin opened the forum with framing remarks on how crime and mass incarceration impact the health of communities, individuals, and families.
