Elizabeth Cox is a professional research assistant at the University of Colorado Denver. She received an MA in Economics and an MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Denver in 2022. Her research focused on studying the effects of drinking water quality and methods in portfolio optimization. Before this, Elizabeth received her B.A.S. from Colorado State University in Economics and Mathematics.

Elizabeth has a diverse background in quantitative strategies, including frequentist and Bayesian statistics, machine learning, and econometrics. Her research interests focus on the use of statistical tools to draw useful inferences as it relates to the environment, energy, and the improvement of communities through public policy.
